Education for Children Ages 5–14
Education for Children Ages 5–14
Welcome to The Watershed Academy
The Watershed Academy was created to offer families a meaningful alternative to traditional school settings. With a 6:1 student-to-teacher ratio, we provide focused instruction built around each child’s needs, interests, and learning pace. Academic growth matters here, but so does character, confidence, and community.
Our mission is simple and steady: to shape hearts and grow minds so students learn to love their community, act with integrity, and walk forward with humility.
This school began with a simple question: What if no child felt marginalized? After more than twenty years in education as a teacher, instructional coach, and administrator, our founder saw firsthand how easily capable students can become invisible in large systems. The Watershed Academy was built to change that.

What Families Are Saying
“Small doesn’t mean limited; it means intentional. The project-based learning surprised us. Our child recently completed a culminating project that connected science, writing, and art. He didn’t just memorize facts; he understood the material.”
“Our daughter finally feels seen. We moved to The Watershed Academy after years of watching our daughter struggle quietly in larger classrooms. Within weeks, she was participating more and asking deeper questions at home. The small class size made an immediate difference not just academically, but emotionally.”
“The flexibility changed everything for our family. Our son needs structure, but not rigidity. The hybrid option gave him time to reset while still staying academically on track. His confidence has grown steadily, and we’ve seen measurable improvement in both reading fluency and focus.”
“It feels like a partnership. The Coffee & Chat meeting gave us a lot to think about. This wasn’t about filling a seat; it was about making sure the fit was right. Communication has been clear and thoughtful from day one.”
